Deborah
Deborah is a young woman with MS. She and her mate, Lovie, are struggling to make ends meet and to stay independent. They live in the 28216 Zip Code Area. Lovie has heart problems and Deborah and he depend on each other to do things and try to maintain their home. They need a family of faith to love them and minister to them through the Adopt an Elder Program. They need the touch of the Lord in their lives.
Deborah and Lovie need assistance with:
- Shopping
- Cleaning
- Some transportation
- Spiritual support
- Friends!
James
James is 62 years old and retired from masonry work. His lifework has taken a toll on his body resulting in diabetes, strokes and breathing problems. He has tried to make ends meet by being a greeter at a local shopping center. Now, he is too ill to work and having a hard time. James is on oxygen most of the time. James lives in the 28208 area but would like to find some inexpensive senior housing to move into. James needs the love of the Lord shown to him and the blessings of a Savior introduced to him. His belief system does not accept that Jesus is the Son of God. James needs a LINC team to reach out and minister to him. He needs assistance with:
- Shopping
- Cleaning
- Errands
- Occasional trips to the doctor
- Visitation
Janice
Janice is a 55 year old lady who lives in the University area (28269). She is in need of someone to care. Janice moved to Charlotte from Detroit in order to be closer to her daughter. Janice is often lonely and has no one to talk with. She longs for a church home and family to be a part of and would love for someone to reach out to her and touch her life.
Janice’s needs include:
- Assistance with shopping
- Transportation
- Help with light housekeeping
- A church family & spiritual support
Regina
Regina is a 67 year old lady with various disabilities, including congestive heart failure. She has had a hard life and has struggled to survive. Regina often wonders if God has forgotten her. She tries hard to make it in this world but desperately needs help. She has been unable to attend church due to her illnesses but was active in the Room in the Inn Program at her church in Huntersville until she became ill. Now she needs a community of faith to love her and that is closer to her. In other words, she needs an Adopt an Elder LINC team to come along beside her and help her. Regina needs assistance with:
- Light housekeeping
- Organization
- Shopping and errands from time to time
- Spiritual support
- Yardwork
